Our New Venture Into Healthcare

Yayasan Suria JB Care (YSJBC) – Our new venture into healthcare!

True to our adage “what YSJB doesn’t do”, we organized a health talk for some 800 students at our adopted school, SK Desa Jaya, JB on 9/10/2024.

“Towards Effective Learning.”

This is the initiative of our Volunteer, Joyce Ong who runs EF English Academy in JB. For info, we are also having English classes at this school to improve the standard of English there.

Dr Rishen gave a very lively and informative talk to the students, linking health to academic performance and this got the students very motivated, including me, as I too was present there too.

After the talk and noting the enthusiasm of the students, Dr offered this to the students:

“Dr. Rishen’s clinic has set aside funds for patients who require consultation but cannot afford it. People can use this fund to pay for their treatment and pay back in installments when they are able to do so.”

What a big-hearted Dr – doing his bit for society in the field he knows best. 🙏

While we were there, our electrical contractor checked and changed whatever lighting & fans that were not in working order and service the air-conditioning units. Perhaps I will die of a heart attack when the bill comes! 🤣

We noticed many lights and fans were not working when we visited the school and the air-conditioners were not working properly.

We are footing the bill, at a discounted rate by the contractor as he too wants to do something good for society. This is part of YSJB’s CSR initiative towards our adopted school.

Those reading this and wish to help YSJB to defray the bill of changing lighting/fans and servicing the air-conditioners are most welcome – students can now study better with good lighting and good ventilation, especially during these hot weather conditions nowadays!

We thank you for being our synergy partners and together, we will produce better students who will be the future leaders of Malaysia.

Students were given goodies bags for answering correct questions posted by the speaker, Dr Rishen.

We shall be doing more activities for the students as we are encouraged by the HM, Puan Zila, who is coloured -blind – this is in line with our policy of treating everyone equal, irrespective of race & religion.

“What YSJB doesn’t do when it comes to serving humanity with l❤️ve & humility.”

“I shall pass this way but once; any good that I can do or any kindness I can show to any human being; let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.”
