Yayasan Suria JB Care (YSJBC) – Our Labour of Love: Bringing Light and Hope to SK Desa Jaya, JB! 💡❤️
Some four months ago, Yayasan Suria JB Care (YSJBC) and EF English Academy (through our amazing volunteer, Joyce Ong) adopted this school, SK Desa Jaya, JB—and wow, what a journey it has been! 🏫✨

Fast forward to today’s English class: the students have improved so much in their English! The hall and classrooms look bright and cheerful too—thanks to the funds YSJBC poured in over the months. From grants to upgrading the entire school’s lighting, fans, and wiring… it’s been a full-on transformation! 😍
Total cost? A whopping RM6,562! Just for upgrading the lighting and fans. This was at a charity rate, with the electrical contractor contributing some as part of their CSR initiative.
YSJBC contributed RM5,000, while the PTA (Parents Teachers Association, or PIBG in Bahasa Malaysia) chipped in RM1,562.
Now, students get to enjoy bright lights and cozy fans, all in perfect working order. Just look at the photos and videos! 📸✨
We’re so proud to be part of this school’s journey. At YSJBC, we go beyond race and religion—we’ve been colour-blind since Day 1, back on 14th September 2012. 🌏🤝
