As of 9/5/2025, Yayasan Suria JB Care (YSJBC) has been officially granted another 5-year Income Tax Exemption by LHDN — valid from 1/1/2025 to 31/12/2029! ✅📜
This says it all:
“Sukacita dimaklumkan bahawa Yayasan Kebajikan Suria Kawasan Permas Johor Bahru telah mendapat kelulusan oleh Ketua Pengarah Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia bagi permohonan dibawah subseksyen 44(6) ACP 1967 selama 5 tahun berkuatkuasa 1 Januari 2025 hingga 31 Disember 2029.”
What is LHDN?
LHDN stands for Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia (The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia) — the official government body in charge of collecting taxes and managing tax exemptions in Malaysia. 🏛️💰
What is ROS?
ROS stands for Registrar of Societies Malaysia — the government body that registers and monitors non-profit organisations and societies. 📝✅
Getting the Income Tax Exempt status wasn’t easy — we had to fulfill stringent requirements from JKM(Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat Malaysia) or
Malaysian Department of Social Welfare
and LHDN, including detailed reports of our activities, audited accounts, event records, locations, and more. 🧾📂
But after months of hard work and verification, LHDN approved us — and now we can proudly say our Foundation is recognised by both ROS and LHDN. 🏅👏
