A call that pierces straight into the heart.
And a painful reminder of the struggle many families face silently.
Every month by the 7th, we deliver foodbanks to 120 desperate families.
But this time… we were late.
My fault. No excuses.
The Story…
A mother of 3.
Her husband—housebound after a motorcycle accident. 🏍️💥
She does odd jobs to survive, but that day, she and her kids had nothing to eat.
I dropped everything.
Rushed to her flat.
And yes—it was true.
No food. Empty shelves. Empty fridge.
Why Not Ask the Neighbours?
Maybe she did.
Maybe she was too proud.
Maybe the neighbours were just as poor.
Yes, even the Poor have their dignity.
And sometimes, they suffer in silence.
These Are the Dilemmas We Face Daily:
💔 Clients in hardship.
⏳ Volunteers who forget their tasks (they’re unpaid, serving from the heart).
💬 Donors who make promises… but never follow through.
It’s not easy. But we persevere.
Why?
Because we are here to SERVE.

Humility has been our anchor.
It helps us:

In 2015, YSJBC was recognized by IMSHA
(Iskandar Malaysia Social Hero Awards) under Poverty & Hunger Relief.
And in the same year, Uncle James received the IMSHA Award for DISASTER RELIEF.
A proud moment—but we stayed humble, as always.
This recognition only fuels our fire to do more, for more people, with more love.
