YSJBC Brings Love & Aid to Gasline Fire Victims in Putra Heights!
(Petronas Pipeline Fire – 1st April 2025) 🔥🚒💕
On 7/4/2025, three passionate volunteers from Yayasan Suria JB Care (YSJBC) set off from Johor Bahru at 6.00 am, heading to Putra Heights, Subang Jaya—the site of a devastating gas pipeline explosion that occurred on 1/4/2025.
The objective?
To provide financial aid and most importantly, a listening heart to victims who have lost everything.
We met them at Masjid Putra Heights, where stories of heartbreak, survival, and unimaginable loss flowed freely.
Their homes? Reduced to ashes, burnt to the ground as flames soared with temperatures up to 1,500°C.
Their vehicles? Gone.
Their memories? Charred.
And yet… their spirit, still standing.
Some barely escaped with their lives, grabbing their children in panic, leaving behind all they had ever owned.
They spent Hari Raya in a Pusat Pemindahan Sementara (PPS) at the Mosque, holding on to each other and their faith.
Though the RM15,000 we gave may seem like peanuts, to them, it meant the world.
Tears rolled down their cheeks, touched that someone from Johor Bahru came all the way just to show they care.
And yes, we cried too—not out of sadness, but out of love and empathy.
Their tears of gratefulness and our tears of joy… merged.
This is what money can never buy—compassion, love, and unity.
As we journey back to JB, our hearts are full.
We served everyone, regardless of race or religion, in the true spirit of 1Malaysia, all united under the roof of a mosque, a beacon of hope and shelter for all.
Now, we prepare for Round 2 of our Aid Mission.
Another RM15,000 is our target.
