Starting community service from young

Yayasan Suria JB Care (YSJBC) – Starting them young!

As part of our succession plan to ensure the survival of our Foundation, we have to get young blood, young volunteers to come on board.

We encourage parents to let their kids follow Uncle James around to expose them to the world of volunteerism. Uncle James, with his stories will surely captivate them!

Lately, more and more parents are sending their kids to YSJBC and this is a good sign for volunteerism to flourish.

On 14/6/2024, 6 kids together with their fathers followed Uncle James around. It was raining but their enthusiasms did not deter them from working in the rain.

They were at our store packing foodbanks. We delivered 2 foodbanks to 2 families in Plentong, JB and visited our YSJBC’s darling girl, 22 yo semi-paralysed girl, Ha Li Jun at Taman Puteri Wangsa, JB.

They enjoyed themselves so much.

These were the messages from their parents:
“wah thanks so much! Uncle James! I can see the joy in their faces! May they continue to bring joy to others.”
“Thks uncle james. Can we visit u again on 5th july friday afternoon? This time we can meet at your ctr? I hv more who r interested to help. Our kids who went can’t wait to help again. 🙏🙏🙏

I didn’t say.

The parents spoke on behalf of the kids.

Children are the future leaders of the country. And for a progressive, all- inclusive society, there must be the spirit of volunteerism among its citizens, so that nobody will be left behind, with everyone helping everyone, so that the world will be a better place for all to live.

Serving humanity with love & humility, the tagline of YSJBC!

“I expect to pass through this world but once; any good thing therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow-creature, let me do it now; let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.”
