Yayasan Suria JB Care (YSJBC) – Turning Criticism Into Compassion: Why We Keep Doing Good!
Have you noticed? Nowadays, doing good is often misunderstood. Some call us crazy for doing charity work without expecting a single cent. Others throw around comments like, “Why are you wasting your time?” or worse, criticize us for being in the limelight.
Yes, we hear it all:
“You’re just doing this for publicity.”
“Did Uncle James call the TV station himself?”
My remarks:
“If I can call the TV station to be interviewed, I won’t be sitting here as a humble volunteer – I shall be the Minister of the Malaysian Department of Social Welfare!

Hurtful? Of course. But after 35+ years of volunteering, we’ve learned something to let actions speak louder than words. Despite the noise, YSJBC has been featured on almost every media platform out there:

Why do we keep going?
Because we believe in service with love and humility. 💕 Whether it’s helping the poor during the MCO or rescuing stray dogs, YSJBC focuses on all beings. And no matter what critics say, we’re here to help, to love, and to serve.
